Betty Platner was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She learned to appreciate porcelain ware from her Eastern European heritage. Fine porcelain was part of her everyday life and a tradition in her family gatherings. Betty immigrated to the United States in 1975, where she continued developing the craftsmanship in fine porcelain painting. She attended classes and seminars with some of the most recognized china painting artists.     As her artistic career progressed, Betty traveled to Europe to complete her studies on color and composition of antique porcelain designs. Betty's designs are decorated in stages and then fired in a Kiln (oven) to temperatures raging from 1240º F to 1580° F until the desired effect or tone is obtained. Today, Betty Platner’s work is appreciated by fine porcelain connoisseurs. As we enter our twelveth year in business, we want to say thanks to all our friends and customers that have chosen our line and blessed us with their love and support.
